So what's you story?
How did you become a member of Shania's Band?

I had quit the professional music biz after years of slugging it out in the bars and was enjoying a new career in computer animation. I received a random message on my answering machine from Mercury records in Canada on day. The guy said he represents a couple of artists one of which was lookin for a young energetic fiddler. I knew who the two artists were, Shania and a new Canadian guy. I was sure it couldn't possibly be Shania and I was happy in my new job and not about to go out and starve with a breaking artist so I didn't return the call. A few days later, the guys called back again leaving a message saying that it was indeed Shania who was looking for a fiddler and that I should call back. Well of course I called back immediately. They asked me for a package and a week later I got a call from Shania's management saying Shania and Mutt wanted me to come to New York and play on David Letterman with her.

So that's how it all started. After that performance I went back to work as an animator and a week later I was contacted that I made it to a short list of musicians that Shania wanted on her tour. The rest is history.

What fun I've had ever since!

i have that letterman appearance on one of my shania dvds, somewhere, didn't realize it was your first performance with her though.....
